These events are based on what my parents told me.....
Thursday 25 March 11:47am
12:33pm - Mommy starts feeling the birth pains have started. She tells daddy and he immediately gets ready to leave.
12:47pm - Mommy and daddy drive through lunch trafffic to Unitas Hospital in Centurion. As they driving, Mommy's pain starts getting worse.
13:08pm - They arrive at the hospital. Daddy drops Mommy off and goes to find a place to park the car, while Mommy waits in pain for him. Daddy parks the car and runs to Moomy's side.
13:15pm - They move as fast as Mommy can walk to the hospital elevators. People are looking on worriedly as Mommy's contractions start getting closer and closer. Eventually they get into the elevator and get off on the first floor. Immediately one of the Sisters at the hospital send them to obstetrics.
13:20pm - At obstetrics, they measure the cervix and tell Daddy that the I will be born within the next hour at the most. They then send daddy down to reception to complete the admission papers before Mommy can be admitted.
13:33pm - Once Daddy completes all the documentation, he gets a call from the nurses on his cellphone to tell him they're rushing Mommy into surgery and that he must make quick! Daddy says that while he was waiting, he called all our loved ones to tell them that I was on the way. Uncle Etienne, Uncle Heinrich and Uncle Jacques.....oh and Gramma and Uncle Zahied!
13:42pm - Daddy has to change into scrubs to be allowed into the theatre while they rush Mommy into the operating room.
13:44pm - Dr Sewenster is there and ready to deliver me. The Anaethetist then tells Mommy that she needs to relax when they inject the anaethetics into her spine to numb her from her chest downwards. Daddy says the needles were long and that mommy was in alot of pain, also he's happy Mommy didn't see the syringes before the injections!
